Welcome to UNI (Kurdish: ئونێ), a four-color shedding card game built for mobile devices. This Privacy Policy explains clearly and directly what information we collect when you play UNI, why we collect it, how your information is stored, and the choices you have regarding your personal data.
1. Data We Collect
When you create an account and play UNI, we collect only the information necessary to provide the service:
- Account Information: Your email address (when registering via email and password) or your Apple ID identifier (when using Sign in with Apple).
- Profile Details: Your chosen player username, optional profile avatar image, and an optional brief bio.
- Gameplay Statistics: Your match history (games played, rounds won, current level, leaderboard rankings, and in-game coin balances).
- In-Game Communications: Messages and reactions sent in table chat and direct player messages to ensure safety and moderation.
- Device & Diagnostic Data: Basic technical device information (iOS version, device model, app version, IP address, and crash reports) used solely for bug troubleshooting, network synchronization, and anti-cheat verification.
2. Sign-In Options
You can access UNI through two secure authentication methods:
- Email & Password: Securely stored using industry-standard salted password hashing.
- Sign in with Apple: Allows you to use Apple's built-in authentication, including the "Hide My Email" private relay option to keep your personal email address hidden even from us.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect for specific, legitimate operational purposes:
- To operate the game, maintain player accounts, and synchronize match states across players in real time.
- To manage table matchmaking, private game rooms, and leaderboard rankings.
- To enforce our Terms of Use, review reports of abusive or objectionable behavior, and maintain a safe, respectful environment.
- To diagnose bugs, optimize network performance, and deliver software updates.
4. Data Storage & Security
UNI's backend infrastructure and database are hosted on Supabase, utilizing enterprise-grade encryption for data in transit (TLS/SSL) and data at rest (AES-256).
While we apply strict industry-standard security practices and access controls to safeguard your information, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed 100% secure.
5. Account Deletion & Data Erasure
You retain full ownership and control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated personal data permanently at any time:
- In-App Self-Service: Open the UNI app, navigate to Settings → Delete Account, and confirm the deletion prompt.
- Via Email: Send a deletion request to team@unigames.website from the email address associated with your account.
Upon account deletion, your profile, authentication records, friend connections, chat records, and statistics are permanently erased from our active databases.
6. Children's Privacy (Ages 13+)
UNI is designed and intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, please contact us immediately at team@unigames.website, and we will promptly delete that information.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate information, or request full deletion. You may exercise any of these rights by emailing us directly at team@unigames.website. We respond to all verified requests within 30 days without charge.
